MR researchers have developed Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP), an original technique that they use here to study the surface of cellulose nanofibrils (NFC) functionalized by a therapeutic molecule. They obtain important information on their surface chemistry, from the starting material to its functionalization, and this without isotopic labelling. These results pave the way for the use of DNP for the development of an efficient and reproducible surface chemistry of NFCs.
CEA is a French government-funded technological research organisation in four main areas: low-carbon energies, defense and security, information technologies and health technologies. A prominent player in the European Research Area, it is involved in setting up collaborative projects with many partners around the world.
